We attempt to cast age-appropriate when possible, but will consider using actors of ages different from their character. Most company members will be asked to play roles in two plays. Some company members will be asked to play roles in three plays.
Auditions for the 2013 Summer Season will be held in February 2013 at the following locations:
Friday, February 8, 4 - 6 pm at the Las Vegas Academy, 315 S 7th Street, Las Vegas, NV 89101 in the lobby.
Saturday, February 9, 9 am - Noon on the campus of the Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah in the Music Building Room 209.
Saturday, February 9, 2-4 pm on the campus of the Dixie State College in St. George, Utah in the Eccles Fine Arts Building, room 156.
Friday, February 15-16 as part of the Next Step auditions at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Conference at the Los Angeles Theatre Center in Los Angeles, CA. (You must be registered as a conference participant in order to participate in these auditions; go to http://kcactf-8.org/next_step.html for more information.)
Saturday, February 23, 9 am - 10:30 on the campus of the Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in the Harris Fine Arts Center, room F-201.
Saturday, February 23, 11:00 am - 12:30 pm on the campus of the Utah Valley University in Orem, in their eXbox Theatre - GT627.
Saturday, February 23, 2:30-4:30 pm by the campus of the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah in the West Institute building on the northwest corner of 300 South and University Street (1350 East) - room 150. No appointment is necessary.
No appointment is necessary (except for the Los Angeles auditions). If possible, come during the first hour, as most of the remaining time will be used for additional readings. (Email us at casting@simonfest.org or call 435-327-8673 if you have any questions.)
Please come prepared to perform two contrasting monologues, or one monologue and 16 bars of a Broadway song. There will not be an accompanist at the audition, so please bring a music CD, guitar to accompany yourself, or be prepared to sing a cappella. At least one monologue should be from a Neil Simon play. Also come with resume and head shot. If you are an Equity Actor, please let us know in advance. casting@simonfest.org
