The Neil Simon Festival announces its third annual New Play contest!

• Plays must be full length (80-150 minutes)
• Genre—Character-driven American comedy; Musicals are acceptable; plays should not be overtly political; plays must be original and cannot have been produced professionally
• Two scripts will be selected for a staged reading during the 2013 Neil Simon Festival in Cedar City, Utah - (July 10 - August 10)
• Selected plays may also be considered for full production in a future season
• Entry fee is $25.00
• If you would like to receive a written critique of your work, the entry fee will be $55.00
• Entry Deadline: March 15, 2013
• Winners will be announced May 15, 2013
• Winning playwrights will be invited to be part of the staged reading process — a stipend to offset lodging and travel costs will be offered; the size of the stipend will depend upon the number of entries
